Chicken tikka
Marinated in yogurt, ginger, garlic and spices, these juicy chicken skewers make a great starter for an Indian-inspired feast or a delicious lunch, wrapped in flatbreads

Ingredients
- 3large chicken breasts, cut into chunky pieces
- 75g greek yogurt
- 2tbsp ginger and garlic paste
- 1tbsp madras curry powder
- 1tsp ground cumin
- 1tsp ground turmeric
- 1tsp smoked paprika
- 2tsp mild chilli powder
- 1tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
Step 1
Tip all of the ingredients into a large bowl with plenty of seasoning and mix really well. Cover and chill for at least a few hours but preferably overnight.Step 2
Heat the grill to high. Thread the chicken pieces onto four metal skewers, leaving any excess marinade behind, packing in the pieces so they are all touching. Put onto a baking tray and cook under the grill for 4-5 minutes or until charred, then flip and repeat until cooked through and charred all over.Step 3
Serve with flatbreads, raita, shredded lettuce and some pink pickled onions, if you like.
