Watermelon Granita
Refreshingly fruity – especially on hot summer days, a watermelon granita can improve your day.
- Serves: 6 persons
Ingredients
- 800g ripe watermelon, without seeds, cut into cubes
- 90g granulated sugar
- 1EL lemon juice
- 1Prisen salt
Instructions
Step 1
Purée all ingredients in a blender until smooth, pour into a suitable metal or enamel mould and freeze.Step 2
After 1 hour remove from the freezer and roughly mix through with a fork. Freeze for a further 2 hours, then scrape through vigorously with the tines of a fork to make icy flakes. Cover with foil and freeze until required. Up to this point, the recipe can be prepared up to 3 days in advance.Step 3
Before serving, scrape again vigorously to obtain even crystals and pour into chilled glasses.
