Reuben
Corned beef, cheese and Russian dressing are melted together in this all-star American classic.

Ingredients
- ½banana shallot, finely chopped
- 75g of mayonnaise
- 30g of ketchup
- ½tspcreamed horseradish
- 1tsp Worcestershire sauce
- lemon juiceto taste
- Tabasco to taste
- saltto taste
- freshly ground black pepperto taste
- 4slices of rye bread
- 2tbsp ofbutter, at room temperature
- 150g ofcorned beef, sliced
- 100g ofsauerkraut, drained
- 100g ofGruyere
- 6dill pickle slices
Instructions
Step 1
Make the Russian dressing by combining all the ingredients in a bowl and mixing wellStep 2
Butter the slices of bread on one side onlyStep 3
Layer up two pieces of rye bread (on the unbuttered sides) with Russian dressing, corned beef, sauerkraut, Gruyere and dill pickle slicesStep 4
Place a frying pan over a medium heat and place a sandwich into the pan. Cook for a couple of minutes on each side, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden and toasted. Repeat with the second sandwich and serve while hot!
