An easy, delicious weetbix slice recipe that tastes great!
- 150g Tararua Butter, melted
- 4Weetbix (crushed)
- ½cup Chelsea White Sugar
- 1cup Edmonds Standard Grade Flour
- 1Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1tsp Edmonds Baking Powder
- 1drop vanilla essence
- 1 ½cups Chelsea Icing Sugar
- ½cup dessicated coconut
- 1tsp cocoa powder
- 25g Tararua Butter
- Hot water to mix
Step 1Preheat oven to 180°C .
Step 2Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl and make a well in the centre. Add the melted Tararua Butter and vanilla essence. Mix together, then press into a slice tin.
Step 3Bake for 10 minutes. Ice while hot and cut into squares.
Step 5Put first three ingredients into a bowl, add the Tararua Butter. Gradually add enough hot water to melt butter, blending to form a smooth, spreadable icing.
Step 6Spread over slice while hot then cut into squares once cooled a little.
