Classic daiquiri

Made with white rum, this classic daiquiri recipe is the perfect balance of sweet and tart flavours, with plenty of fresh, zesty lime juice

  1. Step 1

    Tip the sugar into a pan with 100ml of water, and stir over a low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Cool completely and pour into a sterilised bottle. This sugar syrup will keep in the fridge for up to a month.
  2. Step 2

    Tip 15ml of the sugar syrup, the rum and lime juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until the outside of the shaker feels cold, then strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lime slice.
