Cranberry and port sauce
A side of festive cranberry and port sauce is a grown-up addition to your Christmas dinner

Ingredients
- 500g frozen cranberries
- 1orange, zested and juiced
- 100ml port
- 150g soft light brown sugar
- 1star anise
- ½tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1
Put all the ingredients in a large pan over a low-medium heat. Cook, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to the boil and cook until the sauce has thickened and the cranberries have softened, about 10 mins.Step 2
Remove and discard the star anise, then serve.
