Crab-Stuffed Mushrooms With Parmesan Cheese
Crab-stuffed mushrooms are very easy to prepare and bake for a party. Your guests and family will love them. Change them up with shrimp, cheese, or meat.

Ingredients
- 1pound large mushrooms
- 6tablespoons butter (divided)
- 3green onions (minced)
- 3to 4 tablespoons minced red bell pepper
- 4ounces crabmeat
- 1cup fresh fine bread crumbs
- ¼teaspoon Cajun seasoning (or Creole seasoning blend)
- ⅛teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ¼teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 2tablespoons Parmesan cheese

Gather the ingredients.Step 2
Heat the oven to 350 F. Spray a shallow baking dish (about 8-inch square, or one which will fit mushrooms in one layer) with nonstick cooking spray, line with parchment paper, or grease the pan with butter.Step 3
Wash and trim the end of stems from mushrooms. Pop remaining stem out. Chop stems finely and set them aside.Step 4
Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter in a medium saucepan. Once melted, brush the melted butter over mushroom caps.Step 5
Melt the remaining butter in the saucepan over medium heat. When the butter is hot add the reserved chopped stems, minced green onions, and red bell pepper. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.Step 6
Combine the onion and butter mixture with the bread crumbs, crabmeat, Cajun seasoning, and pepper. Taste and add salt, as needed.Step 7
Fill the mushrooms, mounding the stuffing in each cap.Step 8
Sprinkle each filled mushroom cap with a little Parmesan cheese, if desired.Step 9
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the crab stuffing is hot and mushroom caps are tender. Serve them hot. To keep them warm for a lengthy serving, use a warming tray, chafing dish, or slow cooker.
