Chicken Sausage Breakfast Egg Bake
A breakfast egg bake with chicken sausage, serve with tomatoes and fruit for a great brunch or breakfast.
- Serves: 6 persons
- 6large eggs
- 1 ½cups milk
- 1teaspoon chicken grill seasoning, Creole seasoning or seasoned salt
- 3slices bread, torn into small pieces
- 12ounces chicken smoked sausage
- 1cup sharp Cheddar cheese
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Grease a 2-quart baking dish or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 3In a medium bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, and seasoning. Pour on the greased baking dish.
Step 4Arrange the bread pieces on top of the egg in the greased baking dish; top with the sliced sausage first and cheese second.
Step 5Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or let stand for 15 minutes and bake. If you refrigerate overnight, give the casserole about 20 to 30 minutes to come to room temperature before baking.
Step 6Preheat the oven to 350 F. Bake, uncovered, for 40 to 50 minutes, until firm and lightly browned around the edges. Serve hot.
