Chicken Sausage Breakfast Egg Bake

A breakfast egg bake with chicken sausage, serve with tomatoes and fruit for a great brunch or breakfast.

    Gather the ingredients.

    Grease a 2-quart baking dish or spray with nonstick cooking spray.

    In a medium bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, and seasoning. Pour on the greased baking dish.

    Arrange the bread pieces on top of the egg in the greased baking dish; top with the sliced sausage first and cheese second.

    Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or let stand for 15 minutes and bake. If you refrigerate overnight, give the casserole about 20 to 30 minutes to come to room temperature before baking.

    Preheat the oven to 350 F. Bake, uncovered, for 40 to 50 minutes, until firm and lightly browned around the edges. Serve hot.
