Toasted Muesli
Meaning "little bowl of mush," this simple oat dish with nuts, seeds, and dried fruit is great at any time of day.

Ingredients
- 4 cups rolled oats
- 1 ½cups raw walnut halves and pieces
- ½cup raw pepitas
- ½cup raw sunflower seeds
- ¼cup honey
- 2tablespoons olive oil
- 1 ½teaspoons ground cardamom
- ½teaspoon salt
- 1cup freeze-dried strawberries
- 1cup freeze-dried blueberries
- Milk or yogurt, for serving

Step 1
Gather the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 300 F.Step 2
Combine the oats, walnuts, pepitas, sunflower seeds, honey, olive oil, cardamom, and salt in a large bowl and toss well to distribute.Step 3
Line two half sheet pans (or a full size sheet pan if your oven is large enough) with parchment paper.Step 4
Spread the oat mixture out on the parchment-lined pans. Toast the muesli for 20 to 30 minutes. Check periodically to make sure the nuts and seeds don't scorch.Step 5
Remove from oven and allow to cool. Return to the large bowl and add the freeze-dried berries. Toss to combine.Step 6
Serve with milk or yogurt.
