Instructions
Step 1
Gather the ingredients.Step 2
Preheat the oven to 325 F. Combine all of the sausage ball ingredients in the bowl of a stand mixer using a paddle attachment. You can also mix it with clean hands in a large bowl. Mix until the ingredients are evenly distributed, but don’t over mix. This will make the sausage balls tough.Step 3
Use a cookie scoop to form the sausage mixture into 1-inch balls. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and add the sausage balls to the sheet. Place them slightly apart so they are not touching.Step 4
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should read 165 F.Step 5
As they are baking, prepare the dipping sauce.Step 6
Whisk all of the dipping sauce ingredients in a small bowl until thoroughly combined. You can make the sauce a few days ahead of time. The longer it sits, the more the flavor will develop.Step 7
Serve the sausage balls with some chopped chives and the dipping sauce. You can serve them hot or at room temperature.
