  1. Step 1

    Gather the ingredients.

    Heat up the ghee over a medium flame.
  3. Step 3

    Add the besan to the ghee and brown until you get a cooked aroma from it. The besan will also turn darker as it cooks and when done it should be a deep golden brown in color. This browning process can take up roughly 20 minutes.

    Add the cardamom to the flour mixture and mix well.
  5. Step 5

    Turn off the heat and mix in the powdered sugar. Stir well.
  6. Step 6

    Allow the mix to cool.
  7. Step 7

    When cool, form into golf ball-sized rounds. Place on a lightly greased, flat tray till they set well.

    Store in an air-tight container in a cool place.
