Easy Chicken-Fried Pork Chops
These chicken-fried pork chops are breaded and fried to golden perfection. The chops are delicious with applesauce or fried apples.

Ingredients
- 4center-cut pork chops (1/2 to 3/4-inch thick, preferably bone-in)
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- ¼cup vegetable oil
- 1large egg
- 3tablespoons milk or buttermilk
- ½cup all-purpose flour
- ½teaspoon paprika
- Optional : chopped fresh parsley garnish
- Optional : cream gravy
- 3tablespoons butter or oil from cooking the pork chops
- ¼cup all-purpose flour
- 2cups milk or part
Instructions
Step 1
Sprinkle pork chops on both sides with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.Step 2
Heat the oil in a heavy skillet until hot but not smoking (about 350 F to 360 F).Step 3
Whisk egg and 3 tablespoons of milk or buttermilk together in a shallow bowl.Step 4
In another bowl, combine the 1/2 cup of flour and paprika; blend well.Step 5
Dip each pork chop in the egg mixture and then dredge in flour until thoroughly coated.Step 6
Fry the pork chops in the hot oil for about 4 to 6 minutes on each side, or until the chops are cooked through. For thicker pork chops, allow more time.Step 7
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired.Step 8
For the optional cream gravy, heat the butter or 3 tablespoons of the pork chop cooking oil in a skillet or saucepan over medium heat.Step 9
Add the 1/4 cup of flour and continue cooking for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly.Step 10
Add the 2 cups of milk and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
