Easy Chicken-Fried Pork Chops

  1. Step 1

    Sprinkle pork chops on both sides with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.

    Heat the oil in a heavy skillet until hot but not smoking (about 350 F to 360 F).
  3. Step 3

    Whisk egg and 3 tablespoons of milk or buttermilk together in a shallow bowl.
  4. Step 4

    In another bowl, combine the 1/2 cup of flour and paprika; blend well.
  5. Step 5

    Dip each pork chop in the egg mixture and then dredge in flour until thoroughly coated.
  6. Step 6

    Fry the pork chops in the hot oil for about 4 to 6 minutes on each side, or until the chops are cooked through. For thicker pork chops, allow more time.

    Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired.

    For the optional cream gravy, heat the butter or 3 tablespoons of the pork chop cooking oil in a skillet or saucepan over medium heat.

    Add the 1/4 cup of flour and continue cooking for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
