Aussie Breakfast Fry-Up
For a nice weekend treat, try cooking up a typical Aussie breakfast. Enjoy bacon and eggs but add toasted and baked beans to the mix—Aussie style.
- Serves: 2 persons
- 4large eggs
- 6strips smoked bacon
- 4slices whole wheat bread
- 1can baked beans
- 1tablespoon unsalted butter
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Place the baked beans in a medium pot over a moderate heat. Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and gently simmer.
Step 3Meanwhile, fry the bacon until desired crispness and then drain on paper towels.
Step 4Fry the eggs last in the same pan used to fry the bacon.
Step 5Toast the bread and spread on the butter. Place the eggs on top of the toast and add the bacon and a side of baked beans.
Step 6Serve and enjoy.
