Fried Lobster Balls
These flavorful lobster balls combine lobster meat with seasonings, panko, and Parmesan, are formed into balls and then fried. A perfect party food.
- Serves: 24 persons
- 1cup coarse bread crumbs or panko
- ½cup flour
- 1teaspoon baking powder
- ½teaspoon garlic powder
- ½teaspoon dill weed
- ½teaspoon lemon pepper
- 1/2/ teaspoon kosher salt
- ⅓cup Parmesan cheese
- 1teaspoon lemon juice
- 8ounces raw lobster meat, finely chopped
- ¼cup green bell pepper (sweet capsicum), finely chopped
- ½small sweet onion , finely chopped
- 3eggs, well-beaten
- Vegetable oil for frying
Step 1Whisk together breadcrumbs, flour, baking powder, garlic powder, dill weed, lemon pepper, salt, and Parmesan cheese.
Step 2Stir in the lemon juice, lobster, bell pepper, sweet onion, and eggs until well-combined.
Step 3Let rest for 15 minutes.
Step 4Heat 1/2 inch of oil in a heavy skillet to 375 F or preheat a deep-fryer.
Step 5Roll lobster mixture into balls about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Step 6Deep-fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately,
