Pecan Crusted Salmon
This sweetly crunchy, golden pecan crusted salmon can be thrown together in practically no time. Honey and pecans make an amazing topping.
- Serves: 4 persons
- ⅔cup pecans (chopped)
- ½cup Panko (Japanese bread crumbs or freshly-made bread crumbs)
- 3tablespoons butter (melted, divided)
- ¼cup honey mustard
- 2pounds salmon fillets ( pin bones removed and cut into 4 pieces)
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Preheat the oven to 400 F.
Step 3Toss the pecans and panko together and set aside. In another bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of the butter and the honey mustard.
Step 4Place salmon fillets in a large baking dish, such as a 9 x 13-inch pan or gratin dish. Season salmon with salt and pepper. Brush honey mustard mixture over salmon. Sprinkle pecan mixture on top of honey mustard mixture, patting with your fingers to help it adhere to the salmon.
Step 5Drizzle remaining melted butter over the pecan-crusted salmon. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
