    Gather the ingredients. Preheat oven to 350 F.

    Place the butter in a 2-quart baking dish.

    Heat in the oven until the butter is melted, about 3 to 5 minutes.

    Meanwhile, in a large bowl combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
