Ingredients
- 3quarts vegetable stock
- 1(28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1(15-ounce) can black beans, drained
- 1(15-ounce) can garbanzo beans , drained
- 1(15-ounce) can kidney beans, drained
- 2medium carrots, diced
- 2ribs celery, diced
- ¾cup onion, chopped
- 1small green bell pepper, diced
- 1small red bell pepper, diced
- 8cloves garlic, chopped
- 1teaspoon oregano
- 1teaspoon thyme
- 1teaspoon rosemary
- 1teaspoon basil
- 1cup dry pasta, penne or rotini
- 3tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

In a large soup or stockpot , combine everything—vegetable stock, tomatoes, black beans, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, carrots, celery, onion, green and red peppers, garlic, oregano, thyme, rosemary, and basil—except pasta, vinegar, and black pepper. Bring to a boil over high heat.Step 3
Reduce heat to low and simmer partially covered until carrots are tender-crisp, stirring occasionally.Step 4
Add pasta and cook until tender, about 10 more minutes.Step 5
Stir in vinegar and season with pepper.
