Bratwurst Patty Burger
Want the best of both worlds? Try this recipe for a hamburger made with a bratwurst patty, topped with sauerkraut, mustard, and pickles.
- Serves: 4 persons
- 1 ½pounds bratwurst sausages
- 4hamburger buns
- 1cup sauerkraut
- 12sliced pickles
- Dijon mustard (to taste)
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Cut the casings from the bratwursts and add the meat to the bowl.
Step 3Divide into four equal portions and form into patties.
Step 4Preheat the grill to medium heat, taking care to make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled.
Step 5Once the grill is preheated, add the bratwurst patties and grill until cooked through to at least medium-well, flipping as needed.
Step 6Remove from the grill. Place on bun and top with about 1/4 cup of sauerkraut along with pickles and mustard.
