Baked Quince Recipe
A baked quince makes a great fall dessert. Quinces are like apples or pears, with a little more tartness. They only take an hour to bake.
- Serves: 4 persons
- 4quinces , peeled, cored, and cut in half
- 1stick unsalted butter
- 1cup sugar
- 3cups warm water
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Preheat oven to 350 F. Place quince in 9 x 12-inch baking dish, flesh side up. Cover each quince half generously with butter. Sprinkle with sugar. Fill baking dish with water.
Step 3Sprinkle with sugar. Fill baking dish with water.
Step 4Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour, until quinces are a golden color and soft.
Step 5Allow it to sit 15 minutes before serving.
Step 6Serve with ice cream, whipped cream , or by itself.
