Sugar-Free, Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries
A simple but elegant dessert, Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, for Valentine's or any special occasion!
- Serves: 14 persons
- ½cup sugar-free chocolate chips (like the brand Lily's Sweets)
- 2tablespoons coconut oil
- Optional: 1/4 cup shredded unsweetened coconut (or chopped nuts, or mini chocolate chips)
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2In a small bowl melt the coconut oil and chocolate chips in the microwave or in a saucepan over low simmering water until melted.
Step 3Stir until completely smooth.
Step 4Wash and dry the strawberries but leave their stems on for easier grabbing or use a skewer.
Step 5One at a time use a skewer in the center of one strawberry and dip in the chocolate and twirl around to coat.
Step 6Lay them on a parchment paper lined or wax paper lined baking sheet.
Step 7Coat all strawberries a second time.
Step 8Sprinkle on any toppings of choice and let set for 10 minutes to harden a bit or place in the refrigerator.
Step 9Serve and enjoy!
