Crockpot Rice Pilaf
Tender and delicious crockpot rice pilaf cooks in your slow cooker using only three ingredients in a super simple recipe.
- Serves: 12 persons
- 2(14-ounce) cans chicken broth with roasted garlic
- 1-2/3 cups water
- 3cups long-grain brown rice
- ½cup onion , minced
- ¼teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Step 1Combine broth and water in a 4 cup glass measuring cup and microwave on high until very hot, about 5 minutes. You can also heat the broth and water mixture in a saucepan on the stovetop. Don't let the mixture boil.
Step 2Spray a 3 1/2 quart slow cooker with cooking spray to reduce sticking.
Step 3Combine rice, onion, and pepper in the slow cooker and mix to combine.
Step 4Pour hot broth mixture over and cover crock pot.
Step 5Cook on high for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, until rice, is tender. Stir and serve.
