Basil-Oregano T-Bone Steaks
This delectable t-bone steak recipe uses a basil-oregano rub and is placed onto the grill to amplify the flavor.
- Serves: 4 persons
- 2t-bone steaks (about 2 inches/5 cm thick)
- For the Wet Rub:
- ¼cup olive oil
- ⅓cup chopped fresh oregano
- 4to 5 fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- ½to 1 tablespoon sea salt, to taste
- 1teaspoon onion powder
- ½teaspoon garlic powder
- ½teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Step 3For charcoal make a two-layer fire, so you have a hot side and a medium side.
Step 4Combine wet rub ingredients and slather onto both sides of steak.
Step 5Let steaks sit for a few minutes.
Step 6Place steaks on a hot grill and cook for about 2 minutes per side, as long as there are good grill marks.
Step 7Reduce heat or move to the medium side of the grill.
Step 8Continue grilling for 10 to 12 minutes or until the steaks reach the desired doneness .
Step 9Once cooked, remove from heat and let steaks rest for at least 5 minutes.
Step 10Serve with your favorite sides. We recommend grilled vegetables .
