Honey Garlic Shrimp
A sauce made from garlic and honey make these shrimp a craveable and quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients
- ⅓cup honey
- ¼cup of soy sauce (or gluten-free tamari)
- 1tablespoon lemon juice
- 1tablespoon garlic, ground to a paste
- 1teaspoon ground ginger
- 1teaspoon onion salt
- ½teaspoon red pepper
- 1lb small uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2teaspoons of olive oil
- Chopped green onion, for garnish
- White or brown rice, to serve

Gather the ingredients.Step 2
In a medium bowl whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, onion salt, and red pepper.Step 3
Place shrimp in a large bowl and pour half the marinade mixture on top. Toss well to coat the shrimp fully. Cover with plastic wrap and allow the shrimp to marinate in the refrigerator for at least an hour or up to 12 hours. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade.Step 4
Heat olive oil in a large heavy-bottomed skillet or cast iron over medium-high heat until oil is shimmering.Step 5
Place shrimp in the skillet and cook 1 side until pink, about 1 minute. Then flip shrimp and pour the remaining marinade over the shrimp. Cook about 1 minute more, then remove to a serving plate along with the sauce.Step 6
Serve over rice, garnished with chopped green onions. Serve with green vegetables on the side, if desired.
