Fried Bologna and Cheese Sandwich
This tricked-out version of a Southern favorite, the fried bologna sandwich, adds cheese for a little zing. It's easy, down-home food.
- Serves: 1 person
- 1tablespoon canola oil
- 1to 2 slices bologna (thick-cut)
- 1slice American cheese
- 1teaspoon mayonnaise
- 2slices white bread
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Heat canola oil in a nonstick sauté pan over medium-high heat.
Step 3Place bologna in pan and cook until brown, about 1 to 2 minutes on each side.
Step 4Top with a slice of American cheese and remove pan from heat.
Step 5Spread mayonnaise on insides of both slices of bread and place fried bologna and melted cheese on 1 piece. Top with other piece of bread and serve.
