Eggs Over Easy
If you like your eggs over easy with fully cooked whites and golden runny yolks, follow this simple recipe, which takes only 5 minutes.
- Serves: 1 person
- 2teaspoons unsalted butter or oil
- 1large egg
- Kosher salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Melt the butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat.
Step 3Crack the egg into a small bowl or ramekin. When the butter is sizzling, slide the egg into the pan.
Step 4Cook the egg until the bottom is firm enough to flip easily.
Step 5Slide a spatula under the egg and gently turn it over.
Step 6Let the egg cook for about 8 to 10 seconds longer.
Step 7Turn the egg back over.
Step 8Sprinkle the egg with salt and pepper.
Step 9Transfer it to a plate and enjoy.
