BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich
This jackfruit meat substitute acts like pulled pork and will fool any meat eater! Get the potato chips and coleslaw ready, because you are about to have a picnic.
- Serves: 4 persons
- 1(16 ounce) can jackfruit in brine, drained
- 1cup barbeque sauce
- 2tablespoons margarine (such as Earth Balance®)
- 4hamburger buns, split
Step 1Remove all seeds from jackfruit. Combine jackfruit and BBQ sauce in a slow cooker. Cook on High for 3 to 4 hours.
Step 2Use a fork to shred jackfruit meat. Spread margarine on hamburger buns and place a scoop of jackfruit "meat" on top. Serve immediately
