Smoked Corn on the Cob
Smoked corn on the cob is a delicious addition to any cookout. This recipe calls for a slightly sweet and savory seasoning, which amps up the flavor.
- Serves: 6 persons
- 6ears of corn (with the husks still on)
- ½cup olive oil
- 2tablespoons onion powder
- 2tablespoons brown sugar
- 1tablespoon sweet paprika
- 1tablespoon mild chili powder
- 1teaspoon salt
- Garnish: 1 bunch green onions or parsley, finely chopped
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Gently pull back the husks on each ear of corn. Remove the silk but not the husks.
Step 3Place the ears in a large pan and fill with water to cover the corn. Let sit for a minimum of 1 hour.
Step 4Combine olive oil with onion powder, brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, and salt.
Step 5Remove from water and brush the corn with oil mixture.
Step 6Pull the husks back over the corn.
Step 7Prepare your smoker and smoke the ears of corn at 225 F/110 C for about 45 minutes to one hour.
Step 8When they're done smoking, pull back the husks and top with green onions. Serve and enjoy.
