Christmas Lizzies Fruitcake Cookies
These festive cookies are little fruitcake cookies filled with candied cherries, dates, and pecans, along with a generous amount of bourbon.

Ingredients
- ½cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 ½ounces (5 tablespoons) unsalted butter
- 2large eggs, beaten
- 1 ½cups flour
- 1 ½teaspoons baking soda
- 1teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼teaspoon ground cloves
- 1tablespoon milk
- 2cups candied cherries, chopped
- 2cups dates, chopped
- 2cups pecans, chopped
- 2cups candied pineapple, chopped
- ⅓cup bourbon whiskey

Gather the ingredients and preheat the oven to 325 F/165 C/Gas 3.Step 2
Grease a cookie sheet or line it with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.Step 3
In a mixing bowl with an electric mixer, beat the sugar and butter together until light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes.Step 4
Beat in the eggs until well blended.Step 5
In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Stir or whisk the dry mixture to blend thoroughly.Step 6
Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, beating on low speed until blended.Step 7
Stir in the milk. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.Step 8
Drop the dough by spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet.Step 9
