Slow cooker barbecue pork
Slow cook pork shoulder and you'll be rewarded with beautifully tender, fall-apart meat. Make your own barbecue sauce and serve piled onto buns with slaw

Ingredients
- 1 ½kg boneless pork shoulder or leg
- buns and slaw , to serve
- 200ml barbecue sauce
- 100ml apple cider vinegar
- 100ml chicken stock
- 1tbsp mixed dried herbs
- 1tsp Dijon mustard
- 50g light brown soft sugar
- 1tsp garlic granules
Instructions
Step 1
Put all of the sauce ingredients in a slow cooker and mix to combine. Add the pork and turn over a few times to coat in the sauce. Cook on high for 4-5 hrs or low for 7-8 hrs until the pork is easily pulled apart.Step 2
Remove the pork from the slow cooker, tip into a bowl and shred it with two forks, then stir the meat back into the sauce in the slow cooker. Serve piled onto buns with slaw, if you like.
