French Toast Sticks
Kids love these easy French toast sticks. Make a big batch, freeze them, then heat in the toaster or skillet any time.

Ingredients
- 2large eggs
- ½cup whole milk
- 1teaspoon vanilla
- 4slices bread
- 2tablespoons butter
- Optional: confectioners' sugar
- Optional: cinnamon sugar
- Optional: syrup (for serving)
Instructions
Step 1
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk , and vanilla.Step 2
Cut each slice of bread into 4 strips.Step 3
Melt butter in skillet over medium heat.Step 4
Dip the bread strips in the bowl to soak briefly.Step 5
When the butter is hot, add a batch of soaked bread strips to the skillet and cook until golden brown, turning to brown both sides.Step 6
Sprinkle with a little confectioners' sugar or a sugar and cinnamon blend and serve with butter and maple syrup. Or top with maple butter or confectioners' sugar.
