White Chocolate Bread Pudding

Ingredients
- For the Bread Pudding:
- 3cups heavy whipping cream
- 1cup whole milk
- ½cup sugar
- 10ounces white chocolate chips
- 7large egg yolks
- 2large eggs
- 1(14-ounce) loaf challah bread (day-old)
- For the Sauce:
- ½cup heavy whipping cream
- 8ounces white chocolate chips
Instructions
Step 1
Gather the ingredients. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Preheat the oven to 350 F.Step 2
To make the bread pudding, combine the heavy whipping cream, whole milk, and sugar in a medium heavy saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves.Step 3
Remove the pan from the heat. Add the white chocolate chips and whisk until melted and smooth.Step 4
In a large bowl, whisk the egg yolks and whole eggs.Step 5
Slowly whisk in the warm cream and chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.Step 6
Cut the challah bread into 1-inch cubes.Step 7
Pour the white chocolate mixture over the cubed bread and stir until coated. Let stand for about 5 minutes, until the bread is soft.Step 8
Transfer the bread mixture to the prepared dish.Step 9
Cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for about 15 minutes until the pudding is golden brown and set. Cool slightly on a rack.Step 10
When ready to serve, make the white chocolate sauce. In a small, heavy saucepan bring the heavy cream to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat. Add the white chocolate chips and whisk until melted and the sauce is smooth.Step 11
Serve the warm white chocolate bread pudding with a drizzle of the warm white chocolate sauce.
