Ingredients
- ½lb. ground beef (grass-fed)
- Dash salt (a few cranks of sea salt)
- Dash black pepper (a few cranks of freshly ground)
- 2slices of American cheese
- 1brioche bun (toasted)
- A small handful of butter lettuce leaves
- 2thick slices tomato (beef steak)
- ½tbsp. red onion (thinly sliced)
- ½tbsp. mayo
- ½tbsp. mustard (yellow)
Instructions
Step 1
Begin by dividing the dough in 2 and shaping each half into a very flat patty.Step 2
Chop the cheese into 4 small squares and stack them on top of each other.Step 3
Place the cheese squares in the middle of one of the meat patties and top it with the other patty - sort of squishing the sides together to help hold the cheese in the middle of the meat.Step 4
Salt and pepper the outside of the hamburger patty and set aside.Step 5
In a greased frying pan, turn the heat to medium-high and place the burger patty in.Step 6
Let the patty cook on one side until the bottom is crispy and has reached halfway to your desired doneness. Flip the patty and cook on the other side until the interior is hot enough to melt the cheese; about 7 minutes.Step 7
Remove the pan from the heat and put the lid on the frying pan.Step 8
Meanwhile, add mayo and mustard to both halves your bun, then add the juicy lucy burger, then the lettuce, tomato, and onion and the top half of the bun.Step 9
Slice it down the middle before serving!
