- 1small onion (finely chopped)
- ½green pepper (finely chopped)
- 1carrot (finely chopped)
- 1 ½cups long-grain rice (uncooked)
- 2 ½cups chicken broth
- 1 ½tablespoons butter
- ½teaspoon salt
- ⅛teaspoon garlic powder
- Dash of ground red pepper
