Honey & mustard sauce
Use our moreish honey & mustard sauce to marinade or bake meat, or as a dressing. It's easy to make and will win over a shop-bought version every time
- Serves: 4 persons
- 1tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
- 3tbsp runny honey
- 1tsp Dijon mustard
- 1tsp wholegrain mustard
- 250ml chicken or vegetable stock
- 2tbsp double cream
Step 1Put the oil into a large saucepan and add the garlic. Turn to a medium heat and gently soften the garlic for around 2 mins. Keep stirring so that it doesn’t burn, and just smells fragrant.
Step 2Next, add the honey, mustards and stir together, followed by the stock. Simmer for around 10 mins before adding the cream. Continue to simmer the sauce for a couple of minutes longer until thickened. It can be used to marinade or bake meat, or as a dressing.
