Carrot and Pear Sauce
I made this for my daughter initially but became a family favorite quickly. The sauce can be pureed to whatever consistency you prefer, our family likes this better as a smooth puree.
- Serves: 4 persons
- 4carrots, peeled and chopped
- 2pears - peeled, cored, and chopped
- ¼cup water
- 2tablespoons white sugar
- ¼teaspoon ground cinnamon
Step 1Stir carrots, pears, water, sugar, and cinnamon together in a saucepan over medium heat. Cover the saucepan with a lid and cook until carrots are soft, 15 to 20 minutes. Cool and mash with a fork or potato masher to desired consistency.
