Chocolate Coconut Macaroons
These chocolate coconut macaroons are super easy to make and delicious. Just melt the chocolate with sweetened condensed milk, mix, and bake.

Ingredients
- 1(14-ounce) can condensed milk (sweetened)
- 3ounces unsweetened chocolate
- ¼teaspoon salt
- 8ounces shredded coconut (sweetened or not)
- 1teaspoon vanilla extract

Gather the ingredients.Step 2
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or grease them well with margarine or cooking spray.Step 3
Using a double boiler , or a saucepan on very low heat, mix the sweetened condensed milk with the chocolate and salt.Step 4
Cook, stirring frequently, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is thick. Once ready, remove from heat. If using a double boiler, be mindful of the amount of water in the bottom saucepan and check that it's simmering and not boiling.Step 5
Add the coconut and vanilla to the chocolate mixture and stir to mix well.Step 6
Drop by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared cookie sheets, leaving about 1/2 to 1 inch of space between the cookies.Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cookies are set.Step 8
Remove the chocolate coconut macaroons from the cookie sheets to a wire rack to cool completely.Step 9
