Grilled Beef and Turkey Burgers With Basil
Combine ground beef and turkey to make juicy, delicious burgers and add fresh basil inside to give it a fresh, unexpected taste.
- Serves: 8 persons
- 1egg (beaten)
- ⅔cup sweet onion (finely chopped)
- ¼cup fresh basil (chopped)
- ½cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2cloves garlic (minced)
- 1teaspoon black pepper
- 1teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1pound ground turkey
- 1pound lean ground beef
- 1jar roasted red peppers
- 8hamburger buns (toasted)
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Combine egg, onion, basil, Parmesan cheese, garlic, pepper, salt, and ketchup (if using) in a large mixing bowl.
Step 3Add ground turkey and ground beef to the bowl, mixing well.
Step 4Shape into eight 3/4-inch thick patties .
Step 5Preheat grill to high heat. Place burgers on the grill and reduce heat to medium.
Step 6Cook burgers for 10 to 14 minutes turning once halfway through.
Step 7Remove burgers from grill and serve topped with sliced roasted red peppers on toasted hamburger buns. Serve with condiments on the side.
