End of the Rainbow Cake

Ingredients
- ¾cup butter flavored shortening
- 1½ cups white sugar
- 2eggs
- 2teaspoons vanilla extract
- ¼teaspoon almond extract
- 1cup milk
- 2⅓ cups all-purpose flour
- 3teaspoons baking powder
- 1teaspoon salt

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (8 inch) round pans. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.Step 2
In a large bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and almond extracts. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until incorporated. Pour batter into prepared pans.Step 3
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
