Cream Cheese Cookie Press
Try this cream cheese cookie press recipe to make fabulous cookies for the holidays or for any special occasion.
- Serves: 60 persons
- 2 ½cups all-purpose flour
- ½teaspoon salt
- 1cup butter (at room temperature)
- 3ounces cream cheese (at room temperature)
- 1cup of sugar
- 1egg yolk
- 1teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼teaspoon lemon extract
- Optional: food coloring
- Optional: colored sugar, sprinkles, dragees, or other decorations
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Preheat oven to 350 F. Whisk salt into the flour and set aside.
Step 3Cream butter and cream cheese together until fluffy. Add sugar, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and lemon or almond extract, beating until combined. Stir in the flour/salt mixture.
Step 4Divide dough, if you desire multiple colors, then add optional food coloring(s) and mix well.
Step 5Apply desired cutting plate shape and fill cookie press with dough.
Step 6Press cookies onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Step 7Bake 10 to 15 minutes, until lightly browned at the edges.
