Grilled Maple-Bourbon Chicken
This is a delicious chicken recipe that is sure to please. The bourbon is subtle yet adds a fantastic flavor to the chicken breasts.

Ingredients
- 4to 6 chicken breasts
- 1teaspoon sea salt
- ½teaspoon black pepper
- For Marinade/Sauce:
- 1cup maple syrup
- ¼cup bourbon
- 2tablespoons water
- 2tablespoons olive oil
- 1tablespoon soy sauce
- 1to 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1teaspoon dried thyme
- 1teaspoon dried parsley

Combine, herbs, bourbon, soy sauce, water, maple syrup, and olive oil in a large bowl. Divide the mixture in half.Step 3
Add the chicken to the bowl and coat well with half the mixture.Step 4
Cover and marinate for 2 to 3 hours.Step 5
Place the remaining mixture in a small saucepan and simmer on low heat for eight to ten minutes, stirring often.Step 6
Remove from heat. You may need to reheat before serving.Step 7
Preheat the grill for medium heat. Remove chicken from refrigerator and discard marinade.Step 8
Place chicken on the grill and allow to cook for 20 minutes or until meat reaches an internal temperature of 165 F in the thickest part.Step 9
Once cooked, remove from heat and serve with warmed sauce on top.Step 10
