Griddle Flat Bread
This is a great, easy flatbread recipe that makes a delicious side dish with any meal. Use for pizzas, wraps, or serve alongside grilled kebabs.

Ingredients
- 3cups all-purpose flour
- 1cup water (ice cold)
- 3tablespoons shortening
- 2teaspoons salt
- 2teaspoons baking powder
- 1pinch baking soda
Instructions
Step 1
Combine all ingredients and form into a dough.Step 2
Cover with a clean dishcloth and allow to sit for at least 30 minutes.Step 3
Cut into 4 or 5 equal pieces. Roll out to a thin 8-inch circle.Step 4
Prick the surface of the dough with a fork and cook on an oiled hot griddle. Turn with a spatula.Step 5
Watch these flatbread disks closely because they cook fast.Step 6
Serve warm.
