Slow Cooker Chili With Ground Beef
This slow cooker chili is made with ground beef and a well-balanced variety of vegetables, tomatoes, spices, and seasonings.

- 2pounds ground beef
- 1cup onion (chopped)
- 2cloves garlic (minced)
- 1green bell pepper (chopped)
- ½cup celery (chopped)
- 1(28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1(8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 2(16 oz) cans kidney beans (drained)
- 1tablespoon chili powder
- 1teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion. Cook until the beef is no longer pink and the onion is translucent, stirring frequently.
Step 3Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Drain well.
Step 4Combine the ground beef mixture with the bell pepper, celery, tomatoes, tomato sauce, drained beans, and seasonings. Transfer to the crockery insert of a slow cooker.
Step 5Cover and cook for 5 to 7 hours on low, or until done.
Step 6Taste and adjust seasonings, adding salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper, as needed.
