Garlic Ginger Basil Salmon Recipe
Enjoy the taste of Asian flavors with this easy and delicious salmon recipe of ginger, basil, garlic, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and soy sauce.
- Serves: 4 persons
- 1tablespoon fresh ginger (minced)
- 2cloves garlic (crushed)
- ¼cup rice vinegar
- 2tablespoons brown sugar
- ½teaspoon hot chili sauce
- 1teaspoon soy sauce
- ¼cup water
- 2tablespoons basil (chopped)
- 2(six-ounce) center-cut salmon fillets
- Dash salt (or to taste)
- 1tablespoon vegetable oil
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Add all the ingredients—ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili sauce, soy sauce, water, and basil—except the salmon, salt, and oil, into a small bowl, and mix to combine.
Step 3Season both sides of the salmon with salt.
Step 4Add the vegetable oil to a non-stick skillet, and preheat on medium-high flame . When hot, cook the salmon for about 4 minutes per side. For the last minute of cooking, pour the sauce into the pan. The sauce will thicken, and as it does spoon over the salmon to glaze.
Step 5Turn off the heat, transfer the salmon to a plate, and drizzle with the thickened sauce.
Step 6Serve and enjoy!
