Hot and Spicy Buffalo Wings
This is an easy way to make some great buffalo wings. By boiling the chicken first, you keep the chicken moist before it hits the grill to finish off.
- Serves: 8 persons
- 2tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon salt
- 5pounds chicken wings, tips removed
- ½cup honey
- 1cup hot sauce
- ¼cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¼cup lime juice
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Fill a large pot with water. Add 2 tablespoons of salt and bring to a boil. Add chicken wings and cook on a low simmer for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Step 3Place honey into a microwave-safe dish and heat in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds. Enough to loosen it a bit. Stir.
Step 4Combine warmed honey with hot sauce, butter, lime juice, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
Step 5Divide sauce in half once the chicken wings are boiled (but not necessarily cooked through), and place wings in half of the sauce.
Step 6Add wings to the hot grill and cook until done, about 10 minutes or until the internal temperature of wings reaches 175 F to 185 F.
Step 7Remove wings from the grill when done and dip in the reserved sauce. Serve hot. Rewarm sauce if needed. Just place into the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds, stir, and it's ready to go to the table.
