Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies with Greek Yogurt
Light and fluffy cookies with a little zip from the Greek yogurt.
- Serves: 30 persons
- ¾cup packed dark brown sugar
- ½cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¼cup full-fat Greek yogurt
- 2large eggs
- 2teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1teaspoon baking soda
- 2teaspoons hot water
- 1¾ cups cake flour
- 1¼ cups whole wheat flour
- 1teaspoon salt
- 1cup dark chocolate chips
- 1cup semisweet chocolate chips
- ½cup chopped walnuts
Step 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step 2Cream brown sugar, butter, and yogurt together in a bowl. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Beat in vanilla extract.
Step 3Dissolve baking soda in hot water and add to the batter. Stir in cake flour, whole wheat flour, and salt, being careful not to overmix. Stir in dark chocolate chips, semisweet chocolate chips, and walnuts.
Step 4Drop spoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
Step 5Bake in the preheated oven until edges are golden, 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
