Ingredients
- 3tablespoons butter
- 2medium onions, thinly sliced
- 12 ½-ounce cans beef broth, condensed, or homemade concentrated broth
- 1small head green cabbage, coarsely shredded
- 2medium carrots, sliced
- 2medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1stalk celery, sliced; with leaves
- 2medium tomatoes, chopped
- ½to 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1teaspoon salt
- 1pinch black pepper
