- Serves: 1 person
Ingredients
- 1 ¾cups AP flour
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
- 2teaspoons teaspoons vanilla extract
- ¼cup granulated sugar
- ½cup brown sugar
- ¼cup salted butter (salted, melted)
- ¼teaspoon salt
- 1cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
Step 1
Gather the ingredients.Step 2
Temper the flour by placing it on a baking sheet and baking at 300 F for 2-minute intervals until the temperature of the flour reaches 165 F. Alternatively, place the flour in a microwave-safe dish, and heat in microwave on high for 1-minute intervals until the temperature reaches 165 F. Set aside to reach room temperature. If the flour is not tempered, it is not technically safe for raw consumption. Raw flour is not safe to eat and needs to be heated in order to kill any bacteria.Step 3
Whisk one tablespoon milk, vanilla extract, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and melted butter in a medium bowl until the sugar dissolves slightly. This will keep the dough balls from being too grainy in texture.Step 4
Mix in the heat-treated flour until a dough forms. Add additional milk if dough becomes too stiff.Step 5
Fold in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed.Step 6
Scoop balls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet using a cookie scoop or tablespoon.Step 7
Roll each ball with your hands to make smooth. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator in an air tight container for up to 5 days.
