Halibut Takes on a Light Smoky Taste When Grilled on a Cedar Plank
This is a simple, light cedar plank halibut recipe that's perfect for a warm summer night. The chives and tomatoes complement the subtle smoky flavor.
- Serves: 4 persons
- 4(8-ounce) halibut fillets
- 1tablespoon olive oil
- 1teaspoon salt
- 1teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1cedar plank , soaked in water for 30 minutes
- 1tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 2tablespoons chopped fresh chives
- 3Roma tomatoes, chopped
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Preheat grill to medium heat.
Step 3Coat fish with olive oil and then rub with salt and black pepper.
Step 4Put fish on the cedar plank, place on the grill, and close the lid. Allow fish to cook for 12 to 15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches between 145 F and 150 F (60 C to 50 C).
Step 5Remove from the heat and serve with a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil, chopped fresh chives, and chopped tomatoes on top.
