Gordon Ramsay's Yorkshire Pudding
Gordon Ramsay's recipe for Yorkshire puddings is simply one of the best and easiest for this traditional British side dish for roast beef.
- Serves: 12 persons
- 4large eggs
- 1 ½cups whole milk
- ½teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 ¼cups bread flour
- ½cup roast beef drippings, or vegetable oil
Step 1Gather the ingredients.
Step 2Preheat oven to 425 F. In a blender, place the eggs, milk, and salt.
Step 3Carefully add the flour to the blender.
Step 4Cover and pulse several times, using a plastic spatula to scrape down the sides. Blend until completely mixed.
Step 5Transfer the batter to a large measuring cup and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. If possible, refrigerate overnight for best results.
Step 6Brush the beef drippings or vegetable oil into the bottom of a 12-cup muffin tin. It should come to about 1 teaspoon per muffin cup. Place the muffin tin into the oven for 15 minutes or until the drippings are beginning to smoke.
Step 7Working very quickly and carefully, bring the tin out of the oven and pour the batter into each of the muffin cups until 3/4 full. Place the muffin tin back into the oven in the middle rack.
Step 8Bake for 20 minutes until the puddings have risen and are browned. Remove from the oven and serve the puddings immediately.
