Old-Fashioned Hot Chocolate With Variations
This old-fashioned hot chocolate is made with squares of unsweetened chocolate, milk, and flavorings. Top it with marshmallows or try a variation.

Ingredients
- 2ounces unsweetened chocolate
- ⅓cup white granulated sugar
- 4cups whole milk
- 1pinch salt
- ½teaspoon vanilla extract
- Marshmallow creme or fluff, or whipped cream , for garnish

In a 2-quart saucepan, place the chocolate, sugar, milk, and salt. Over medium-low heat, stir gently with whisk until the chocolate melts and the mixture is well blended.Step 3
